Orthodontists but not only...

What motivated you to do orthodontics?

I believe that the smile is a business card, the best outfit every human being can wear. A smile has no barriers, we all smile in the same language. I have always wanted to work in the healthcare field, and I have always wanted to be a healthcare professional who has a real impact on the lives of our patients. Orthodontics combines both the human and technical sides of the profession, which I found particularly appealing. To follow our patients over the long term, to see them evolve, thrive, smile and live life to the fullest, that's our victory! We can change your smile, you can change the world!

One word in your opinion that sums up orthodontics?

In a word, difficult, so much since our specialization acts on important areas such as health, beauty, well-being, self-esteem, self-confidence etc... In short, the contemporary orthodontist must not only be a specialist in occlusal balance, but he must also be an expert in the art of dentofacial aesthetics, keeping in mind that the treatment must bring well-being to his patient while being carried out as quickly as possible.

What is your best work anecdote (in orthodontics)?

I remember a young patient who, following his treatment, came out of his social isolation, went back to school and sent us his wedding announcement with souvenir photographs and a thank you card!

Your favorite place in Switzerland?

I love walking along the Riviera Vaudoise, contemplating this sublime contrast between the sky, the mountains, the vineyards of Lavaux and Lake Geneva. It is a true haven of peace that I recommend you visit.

What are your pasions outside of work?

I am interested in the history and the field of aviation, which shares many similarities in terms of planning and rigor needed in orthodontics. I am also fond of nature and animals. I practice martial arts and love to travel to discover new people and cultures.
